Global Leadership Organization for Chief Executives
Developing a Coaching Culture
Duration: 8 months
Situation/Challenges:
A global mid-size organization received feedback from its employees about a lack of leadership support, workplace burnout, and job stress that was leading to crucial goals being missed and high risk of employee turnover. They also had not previously engaged coaches on an org-wide level and did not yet have a coaching culture throughout the organization. Some of the main goals were to create a coaching offering that:
Applied to a global audience
Was responsive to team/organizational needs as well as the unique needs of the individuals
Was easy to engage with, compelling, and effective for already overwhelmed leaders
Engaged different stakeholders
Leaders and staff at the organization in diverse roles and career stages
Group of external executive coaches assembled to help deliver the coaching
Approach:
After assessing some of the root causes, we aligned with the client on creating and launching a program to provide leadership coaching at a larger scale.
The Work:
Successfully designed and delivered a coaching program for 100 employees, focused on assessing and managing work-life integration. Additionally, created the process and onboarding for both the international contract coaches and coachees of the program.
Key Outcomes:
Improved employee engagement scores, particularly in the categories of trust in the organization and overall job satisfaction.
The project culminated in the creation of insight reports that were delivered to Sr. Leadership about the aggregated themes that emerged from the program as well as recommended action steps to transform work culture and retain top talent.
